Two Great Mountains    1 night / 2 days tour to Nizwa, Jebel Shams and Jebel Al Akhdar

Day 1
Nizwa, Jabrin, Misfat Al Abryeen, Jebel Shams

08:00 - From Muscat we start our journey toward to Nizwa, the silver capital of Oman. Here we are going to visit 17th century Nizwa Fort and spend some time at its traditional souq of spices, Omani sweets, pottery and silver.
   After an exiting driving through Falaj Daris, the official UNESCO heritage site, we reach one of the most beautiful castles of the country. Built in 1670 by Imam Bilarub bin Sultan Al Yarubi, Jabrin Castle is one of the most picturesque and artistic  forts in Oman.
On the way to Jebel Shams we stop at Misfat Al Abriyeen, a pretty mountain village. The houses here look like they have been hewn out of rock.  With date's plantations and a lot of greenary, surrounded by the slopes of the mountain, Misfat is a very popular  spot for visitors. 
We arrive to the resort by late afternoon and have a great opportunity to watch  sunset from the top of Jebel Shams, the highest mountain in Oman and home of Oman Grand Canyon.

Day 2
Jebel Shams, Tanuf, Jebel Al Akhdar

After breakfast at the Resort, we drive down of Jebel Shams and take a short visit to the ruins of old TANUF village bombed by the British army during Jabal Akhdar War in 1950-1958.
The next mountain of Jebel Al Akhdar known as The Green Mountain is awaiting for us. Here we are going to explore a famous rose gardens, visit Diana point and walk to an abandoned village in Wadi Habib.
On the way back to Muscat we  look at the Birkat Al Mowz falaj, the UNESCO heritage site.

Price includes:
1 overnight in Double room on sharing basis,  entrance tickets to Nizwa fort and Jabrin Castle, 2 lunches breakfast and dinner, transportation with fuel, soft drinks and mineral water, English speaking guide services and taxes.

Please make sure to wear a comfortable  cotton cloths and hiking shoes as we are going to hike inside of the Canyon. It is advisable to have a small backpack for hiking as well. Sun glasses and a hat are compulsory.

During winter time the weather on the top of Jebel Shams and Jebel Al Akhdar mountains is a bit freezing (about 10-15C in the afternoon and 0-4C at night). So, do not forget a warm clothes including  hat and gloves.

Children of any age  are welcomed but should be accompanied by their parents.
